Join us for Family Camp!

Come enjoy the opportunity to reconnect with nature and your family at Camp Burgess & Hayward’s Family Camp! The weekend away serves to reinforce family ties, while creating memories that last a lifetime. Memorial Day Family Camp runs May 24-26, 2025.

We provide healthy meals, comfortable lodging, and unique staff-led programming that will appeal to all ages. At the end of a fun-filled day, we invite you to relax beside the campfire, free from cell phones and to-do lists, to enjoy the company of your loved ones, and take in the beauty of the natural world.

A New Addition to Family Camp:

In addition to our traditional Memorial Day Family Camp (Saturday – Monday), we have added a Family Day Trip option! Family Day Trip allows you and your family to join us for just the day on either Saturday or Sunday of Memorial Day weekend; a great option if you already have a packed Memorial Day weekend but still want to spend a day with the Camp Burgess & Hayward community!

ACTIVITIES

Activities include Archery, Canoeing, Kayaking, Swimming, Climbing Tower, Basketball, Gaga Ball, Tetherball, Arts & Crafts, and More!

Evening activities include Night Hikes, Sunset Tours on the Pond on our pontoon boats, and Outdoor Movie Nights.

Memorial Day Family Camp Full Weekend Stay

This all-inclusive weekend includes lodging in one of our cabins, all meals, and activities throughout the weekend. More information, including pricing, is available in our Memorial Day Family Camp Information Packet 2025 – Full Weekend Stay.

  •  Modern Camp Cabins: $875, includes up to 5 people
    •  Cabins can hold up to 10 people, and additional people costs $135/person
    • Our Modern Camp cabins are heated, insulated, and have electricity. The cabins are a
      short walk from the central bathhouse.
  • Large Island Cabins: $1315, includes up to 8 people
    • Cabins can hold up to 14 people, and additional people costs $135/person
    • The Large Island cabins are a great option if you’re planning to share the cabin with
      another family, or would like more space! These cabins are similar to our Modern Camp
      cabins, but are more spacious. The Large Island cabins are heated, insulated, and have
      electricity. The cabins are a short walk from the central bathhouse.
  • Rustic Cabins: $425, includes up to 3 people
    • Cabins can hold up to 10 people, and additional people costs $135/person
    • Our Rustic cabins are not heated or insulated, and have a longer walk to the bathhouse.
      These cabins have electricity, and are located in a more secluded area of camp. Please
      note that these cabins have screen windows, and Family Camp falls during pollen
      season, so they may not be the right choice if someone in your family has significant
      pollen allergies.
  • Modern Chalet: $1550, includes up to 8 peoples
    • Cabin can hold up to 14 people, and additional people cost $135/person
    • Used as our Health Center during the summer, the Modern Chalet is our newest
      building at Camp Burgess. This space has heat, A/C, and electricity. The building
      includes 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms.
DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY – Full Weekend Stay
    • Deposits ($150 per family camp session) are non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances.
    • Cancel before May 1– program fees (less the $150 deposit) are refundable.
    • Cancel on or after May 1 – 50% program fees paid are refundable.
    • Cancel within 14 days of program start date – no refund, except in the case of medical necessity (documentation must be provided).
Memorial Day Family Camp Family Day Trip Option

The new Day Trip options include your family’s choice of either joining us for the day’s activities on Saturday the 24th or Sunday the 25th. The cost includes Lunch & Dinner and various activities throughout the day your family attends.   • Ages 5 & up: $50 per person
  • Ages 4 & under: Free admission
DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY – Family Day Trip Option
    • Cancel before May 1 – program fees are refundable.
    • Cancel on or after May 1 – 50% of program fees are refundable
    • Cancel within 14 days of program start date – no refund, except in case of medical necessity (documentation must be provided).
