With a blanket of snow on the ground, winter at Camp is undeniably lovely, but Friday’s delivery to the farm had us all looking forward to warmer weather. On Friday, our new wood-fired oven arrived! This 500-pound clay oven, sold to us at a generously deep discount by JDS Supply in Rhode Island, will bake countless farm-fresh pizzas, breads, and more for us for years to come, but it’s much more enjoyable to cook outdoors when the weather is a bit warmer. The oven will live in the garden shed until the exciting day in the spring when we install it outside… until then, visions of pizza will dance in our heads!
