Costa Rica Surf
Calling all Surfers! Adventure Trips is heading to Costa Rica! This February, Camp Burgess & Hayward is proud to offer our teenage adventurers an opportunity to visit Costa Rica for a week of amazing waves, beautiful beaches, and endless activities. Our campers and leaders will arrive in Costa Rica and will be immediately immersed in the beautiful island. Working with surf school, Safari Surf, Adventure Trips campers will spend 5 days hitting waves in the South Pacific. Participants on this trip will stay in a hostel in Nosara, Costa Rica, with meals, transportation (including flights), and equipment all provided by Adventure Trips. The group will cook meals together as a group in the hostel kitchen. Campers will start their days with a delicious breakfast before jumping into a morning surf lesson. After lunch, campers will be able to join several activities for the rest of their day. We will wrap up the evening with a dinner before lights out. Options to explore the island included guided kayaking, horseback riding, nature tours, and beach yoga! This trip is open to campers ages 14 – 18 years old.

Allegra: Hey there! My name is Allegra. I have been at Camp Burgess and Hayward since I was a wee girl of seven years old!! I have worked many different jobs with them every summer (sometimes spring and fall too) for the last seven years. My favorite job has been trip leading with the adventure trip program for the last three years! I absolutely love nature and the ocean. I lived in Costa Rica for six months in 2021, taught surf lessons and got to experience the beauty of life there.” – Allegra
